Collova. <br />Ayes (4) Fahey, Collova, Scalze, Blesener~. <br />Nays (0). <br />Resolution declar•ed adopted. <br />This r~esolution appear~s in Resolution Book No. 19, Page 265. <br />Walkway In Scalze r~epor•ted that the bid for~ trail work in Thunder Bay Par~k was <br />Spooner under• budget and, ther~efore, the Par•k Commission would like to have <br />Par•k additional wor~k added to the pr•oject. The Par•k Commission is recommending <br />that a pathway fr~om the upper• to 1 ower~ par•ki ng 1 ots i n Spooner~ Par•k be <br />Agenda impr•oved. <br />Addition <br />Mr•s. Scalze intr~oduced the following r~esolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION N0. 88-6-261 - AUTHORIZING BILL <br />SANDERS TO PREPARE DRAWINGS AND SPECIFICATIONS <br />FOR THE IMPROVEMENT OF A WALKWAY FROM THE LOWER <br />PARKING LOT TO THE UPPER PARKING LOT IN SPOONER <br />PARK AND TO OBTAIN QUOTATIONS FOR THIS IMPROVEMENT <br />WHICH IS TO BE INCLUDED AS AN ADD-ON TO THE THUNDER <br />BAY PARK IMPROVEMENT WORK, AND AUTHORIZING THE <br />WORK TO PROCEED SINCE THE COST WILL BE WITHIN THE <br />PARK COMMISSION BUDGET <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mr•. Blesener•. <br />Ayes (4) Scalze, Blesener, Collova, Fahey. <br />Nays (0). <br />Resolution declar•ed adopted. <br />This r•esolution appear•s in Resolution Book No. 19, Page 266. <br />County Road Fahey r•epor•ted that the Economic Development Committee has r•ecommended <br />~ that Bill Sanders be hir•ed to prepare a r•epor•t on the beautification <br />of the County Road C ar•ea since this will be a main thor•oughfar~e thr•ough <br />Agenda the City. Fahey suggested that Mr. Sander•s be invited to the July 27th <br />Addition Council meeting to explain the type of plan he could put together• for~ <br />the ar~ea. <br />Kel1ogg Sance r•epor•ted that the Recr•eation Depar~tment would like to do some <br />Hockey Rink impr~ovement work at the site of the Kellogg hockey rinks. The thought <br />is to eliminate one of the hockey r~inks and add a pleasur•e skating rink. <br />Agenda The Depar•tment is also suggesting that the par•king lot be redesi ned and <br />Addition the war•ming house r•econstr~ucted. $20,000 has been budgeted for• ~his <br />wor•k. <br />Page -26- <br />
