MINUTES <br />City Council <br />Sept. 28, 1988 <br />Par~k Dept <br />Repor•t <br />Agenda <br />Item No. 18 <br />Scalze reported that on October llth the Park Commission will be holding <br />a special meeting to discuss the design of the Centerville Road Area <br />park andon October ?.Oth the property owners within 350 feet of the park <br />will be invited to the Park Commission meeting to give their input into <br />the design. On October 13th, the Planning Commission will comment on <br />the park design as well. <br />Scalze then reported that she and the Recreation Director have looked at <br />the Bibeau house and feel that while it is a fine house, it does not fit <br />into the desi,gn of the park. The Park Commission has recommended that the <br />City attempt to se11 the house and have it moved from the site: <br />Council discussed this recommendation and agreed that the City should <br />try to sell the house and require that the house be removed from the <br />City as a part of the sale. <br />Mrs. Scalze introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION N0. 88-9-416 - AUTHORIZING THE CITY <br />* CORRECTION CLERK TO ADVERTISE FOR SALE THE BIBEAU HOUSE <br />RESOI_.UTION WITH THE STIPULATION THAT THE HOUSE BE REMOVED FROM <br />88-10-422 THE PROPERTY ON WHICH IT IS LOCATED AND MOVED OUT <br />OF THE CITY,* WITHIN A SPECIFIED TIME. <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mr. Fahey. <br />Ayes (5) Scalze, Fahey, LaValle, Collova, Blesener. <br />Nays (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />This resolution appear•s in Resolution Book No. 20, page 431. <br />Scalze reported that the Park Commission has recommended that the City <br />Engineer• be authorized to work with the Park Consultant to determine the <br />best location for• bringing utilities into the Centerville Road Area Park <br />and also to identify and cap existing wells on the pr•operty. <br />Mrs. Scalze introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION N0. 88-9-417 - AUTHORIZING THE CITY <br />ENGINEER TO WORK WITH BILL SANDERS TO DETERMINE <br />THE BEST LOCATION FOR UTILITIES TO SERVICE THE <br />CENTERVILLE ROAD AREA PARK AND TO COORDINATE WITH <br />SANDERS THE IDENTIFICATION AND MARKING OF WELLS ON <br />THE PROPERTY <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mr. Collova. <br />Ayes (5) Scalze, Collova, Fahey, LaValle, Blesener~. <br />Nays (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />This resolution appears in Resolution Book No. 20, Page 432. <br />Page -20- <br />
