MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA <br />October 12, 1988 <br />Pur•suant to due call and notice thereof a regular meeting of the Council <br />of the City of Little Canada, Minnesota was held on the 12th day of <br />October, 1988 in the Council Chamber•s of the City Center~ located at <br />515 Little Canada Road in said City. <br />Agenda Mayor~ Michael Fahey chaired the meeting and called it to or~der~ at 7:30 <br />Item No. 1 P.M. and the following members of the Council were present at roll call: <br />Agenda MEMBERS PRESENT: Mayor Mr. Michael Fahey <br />Item No. 2 Councilman Mr. Bill Blesener~ <br />Councilman Mr. Rick Collova <br />Councilman Mr•. Jim LaValle <br />Councilwoman Mr~s. Bever~ly Scalze <br />ALSO PRESENT: City Clerk Mr. Joseph Chlebeck <br />City Attorney Mr. George Bor~er <br />City Engineer Mr. Don Car•ley <br />City Planner Mr. Steve Grittman <br />Recording Secretary Mrs. Kathleen Glanzer <br />Minutes Mrs. Scalze recommended that on page 20 of the September 28th Council <br />meeting minutes, Resolution No. 8II-9-416 be amended to include the <br />Agenda phr•ase "IN A SPECIFIED TIME". <br />Item No. 3 <br />Mrs. Scalze introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION N0. 88-10-422 - APPROVING TNE <br />MINUTES OF THE SEPTEMBER 28, 1988 REGULAR <br />COUNCIL MEETING AS AMENDED <br />The for•egoing resolution was duly seconded by Mr. Blesener~. <br />Ayes (5) Scalze, Blesener, LaValle, Collova, Fahey. <br />Nays (0). <br />Resolution declar•ed adopted. <br />This r•esolution appears in Resolution Book No. 20, Page 437. <br />Announce- The Mayor reported that planning is underway for a Spooner~ Par•k Celebr•ation <br />ments to be held on Sunday, October 23, 1988 at 2 P.M. <br />Agenda Scalze r•eported that a Committee has been formed to plan the celebration <br />Item No. 4 which will be held in the amphitheater. In case of bad weather•, the <br />celebr~ation will be held in the Little Canada School gymnasium. At the <br />celebration past Park Commission members, City Council members and Mayors <br />who served from 1973 to present will be honor•ed. <br />Scalze also reported that due to the extra efforts of City staff, it is <br />anticipated that the City will close on the purchase of Spooner Park this <br />Fr~iday. <br />Page -1- <br />
