MINUTES <br />City Council <br />October 12, 1988 <br />Roseville Scalze repor•ted that she has been serving on the Roseville Senior~ Citizen <br />Senior• Progr•am Committee which is looking into various ways to serve the needs of <br />Pr•ogram the elderly. Some of the things that are being consider•ed are a directory <br />Committee of senior services, caregiver support thr>ough paid per~sonnel, initiation <br />of a block-worker• pr~oject in Little Canada and/or Maplewood. <br />Agenda <br />Addition <br />Fr~anklin The City Clerk recommended that the Deputy Clerk be authorized to withdraw <br />Fund funds on behalf of the City fr•om the Franklin Fund should the Clerk not be <br />available to do so. <br />Agenda <br />Item No. 15a Mr•. Blesener introduced the following r~esolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION N0. 88-10-445 - APPROVING THE <br />SIGNATURES OF THE CITY CLERK, JOSEPH CHLEBECK, <br />AND THE DEPUTY CLERK, ANNETTE FREEMAN, FOR <br />WITHDRAWING OF FUNDS FROM THE FRANKLIN FUND <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mr. LaValle. <br />Ayes (51 Blesener, LaValle, Scalze, Collova, Fahey. <br />Nays (0). <br />Resolution declar•ed adopted. <br />This resolution appears in Resolution Book No. 20, Page 460. <br />Watershed LaValle pointed out that the City recently advertised for someone to serve <br />Distr~ict as the City's r~epresentative to the Water•shed District. The incumbent <br />Rep representative, Dean Headlund, as well as Robert Pedersen have expressed <br />interest in this position. The Council reviewed the attendance r•ecord <br />Agenda of Mr. Headlund and found it to be satisfactory and it was the concensus <br />Item No. 15b of the Council to request Mr•. Headlund's reappointment. <br />Mr. LaValle intr~oduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION N0. 88-10-446 - RECOMMENDING THAT <br />DEAN HEADLUND BE REAPPOINTED AS TNE CITY'S <br />REPRESENTATIVE TO THE WATERSHED DISTRICT <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mr~. Blesener. <br />Ayes (5) LaValle, Blesener, Fahey, Collova, Scalze. <br />Nays (O). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />This resolution appears in Resolution Book No. 20, Page 461. <br />~g88 The Council reviewed the 1988 Audit Contr•act submitted by the City Auditor. <br />Audit It was noted that the contract amount r•eflects a 5% increase over last <br />Contr~act year's contract. <br />Agenda <br />Item No. 15c Page -24- <br />
