MINUTES <br />City Council <br />November 9, 1988 <br />Minutes made r~egarding gr~andfather•ina in of businesses were mad.e by the City <br />(Cont.) Planner•, rather• than Fahey. <br />Mr. Blesener~ introduced the following r~esolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION N0. 88-11-486 - APPROVING THE <br />MINUTES OF THE OCTOBER 26, 1988 REGULAR <br />MEETING AS AMENDED <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mr~s. Scalze. <br />Ayes (5) Blesener, Scalze, Fahey, Collova, LaValle. <br />Nays (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />This resolution appear•s in Resolution Book No. 20, Page 502. <br />Citizens Fahey repor•ted that it has been suggested that the City appoint a citizens <br />Advisor~y advisor•y committee to work with the Cit,y in the final dr•afting of the <br />Gr~oup addition plans for the City Center~. Fahey stated that if anyone is <br />City Center interested in serving on such a committee, they should contact the City <br />Expansion Cler~k. <br />Agenda It was pointed out that the design of the City Center expansion could take <br />dition <br />Ad into account the space needed for~ holding elections. Blesener~ stated that <br />. while the building could not be designed around elections, a lar~ge enough <br /> area could be provided so that a good set-up for elections could be achieved. <br /> Fahey felt this was just one area that the committee could look at and pr~ovide <br /> input to the City Council. <br /> Mr. Fahey introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br /> RESOLUTION N0. 88-11-487 - INSTRUCTING THE <br /> CITY CLERK TO ADVERTISE FOR PARTICIPANTS TO SERVE <br /> ON A CITIZENS ADVISORY COMMITTEE TO STUDY THE <br /> ISSUE OF CITY CENTER EXPANSION WITH THAT COMMITTEE <br /> TO PROVIDE INPUT TO THE CITY COUNCIL ON THE ISSUE <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mr•s. Scalze. <br />Ayes (5) Fahey, Scalze, Collova, Blesener•, LaValle. <br />Nays (0). <br />Resolution declar•ed adopted. <br />This resolution appears in Resolution Dook No. 20, Page 503. <br />Gambling Mr. Bob Wolter~, Pr•esident, North Ramsey Lions Club, appear•ed befor~e the <br />License Council requesting approval of a gambling license so that the Lions could <br />No. Ramsey hold a Gold Plate Oinner• at the Venetian Inn in Januar•y.
