MINUTES <br />City Council <br />Jan. 11, 1989 <br />Australian <br />Impr•ovement <br />Agenda <br />Item No. 9 <br />The City Attorney reported that he has obtained and recorded the <br />Peterson easement for Imp. No. 88-22, and anticipates doing the <br />same for the Mar•sh easement in the ver~y near future. The Attorney <br />r•ecommended that the City awar~d the bid for• the improvement. <br />P1r•. Blesener• introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION N0. 89-1-13 - AWARDING THE BID TO <br />DANNER CONSTRUCTION FOR IMP. N0. 88-22, AUSTRALIAN <br />AVENUE STORM SEWER, WITH THE IMPROVEMENT TO <br />INCLUDE THE EXTRA LENGTH OF STORM SEWER DISCUSSED <br />AT THE PREVIOUS COUNCIL MEETING <br />The foregoing r•esolution was duly seconded by Mr. Collova. <br />Ayes (5) Blesener, Collova, Scalze, LaValle, Fahey. <br />Nays (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />This r•esolution appears in Resolution.Book No. 21, Page 13. <br />MN Vs. The City Attor•ney r~eviewed his letter dated December 22, 1988 <br />Rachie recommending payment of appeal costs in the amount of $1,II00 in the <br />case of the State versus John B. Rachie. <br />Agenda <br />Item No. lla P9r•. Blesener introduced the following r•eoslution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION N0. 89-1-14 - APPROVING THE PAYMENT <br />OF APPEAL COSTS IN THE AMOUNT OF $1,800 IN THE <br />CASE OF MINNESOTA VERSUS RACHIE BASED ON THE <br />RECOMMENDATION OF THE CITY ATTORNEY <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by P9rs. Scalze. <br />Ayes (5) Blesener•, Scalze, Collova, LaValle, Fahey. <br />Nays (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />This resolution appear•s in Resolution Book No. 21, page 14. <br />Economic The Mayor~ indicated that the conclusion he dr•aws after reviewing the <br />Development Yaggy Colby r•epor•t is that the lower~ing of Countr•y Drive is not <br />& Yaggy feasible and that the property should be developed as businss-war~ehouse <br />Colby Repor•t or multi-family residential. <br />Agenda The Council discussed scheduling an Economic Development Committee <br />Item No. 12 meeting, and instr•ucted the City Clerk to schedule a meeting of the <br />a and b Committee with Yaggy Colby in order• to review their• r~epor•t. <br />The Council also discussed the development pr•oposals which have been <br />submitted to the Council, one of which includes senior citizen housing. <br />Page -13- <br />
