MINUTES City Council Jan. 25, 1989 Or•dinance Fahey pointed out that the Ordinance extends the moratorium in the No. 312 Country Drive ar~ea. (Cont.) Fahey also reported that there would be a meetina of the Economic Development Committee on February 2, 1989 at 7:30 A.P1. to discuss the best use of the Country Drive pr•operty. Statutor•y The City Planner~ submitted to the Council a summar~y of statutory Planning planning legislation. The Planner reported that the League of Legislation Minnesota Cities is askina for comments on this legislation. A enda The Council disciassed this leaislation which involves the r~equirement 9 for review by a board of adjustment when the r•ecommendation of the Item No. 13a planning commission is over•turned by the council. The Planner suggested that the Council r•eview the material he has pr•epared and any comments the Council might have can be passed on to the League. Organized Fahey reported that there will be a workshop on February 8, at 6:30 recommended that the City Fahe i Collection on. It was the Co~ncil's concensus to thank the organization for its interest, but d.ecline the offer. Met Council The Council reviewed the three letters of interest which were received Appointment for appointment to the Met Council repr•esenting the City. Agenda Council discussed the fact that the deadline for making a recommendation Item N0. 15a to the Met Council on the appointment is only a few days away, which does not give the Council an oppor•tunity to interview the inter~ested parties.
