The cost of the system <br />System Public Works would like to purchase is $1,850 and is super~ior to the <br /> existing system. Informal quotes were obtained a nd the $1,850 from <br />Agenda Davco was the low quote. <br />4ddition <br /> Mr. Blesener~ introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION N0. 89-1-43 - AUTHORIZING THE <br />PUBLIC WORKS SUPERINTENDENT TO PURCHASE <br />AN AVIS 9 AUTOMATIC DIAL ALARM SYSTEM FROM <br />DAVCO AT A COST OF $1,850. <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mr. LaValle. <br />Ayes (5) Blesener, LaValle, Scalze, Collova, Fahey. <br />Nays (0). <br />Resolution declar•ed adopted. <br />This resolution appears in Resolution Book No. 21, page 45. <br />Zoning Code Collova reported that the Building Inspector• has indicated that the <br />Messy Yards City should establish a policy of tagging residents who have junk <br />cars and other debris stored on their pr•operty. <br />Agenda <br />Item No. 17 Blesener• repor•ted that the Zoning Code already gives the City the <br />authority to tag in such instances. <br />The City Attor•ney reported that the pr•oblem is that jud.ges do not <br />look at zonina codes, but r•ather criminal codes. <br />Scalze reported that the Sheriff's Department has recommended that the <br />City adopt an or~dinance similar~ to Shoreview's which is r•elatively easy <br />to enforce. <br />Page -21- <br />
