Scalze reported that if the Council <br />the committee <br />• <br /> , <br />ve on <br />has any ideas or suggestions or• would like to ser <br /> to please let her know. <br /> LaValle reported that there is also a high concentration of senior~s in <br /> the 3020 Rice Street Mobilehome Park. <br /> Scalze agreed also pointing out that there ar•e a lar•ge concentration <br /> in the Canabury Condominiums as well. <br /> Scalze felt it good that little Canada was r•eceiving more focus in <br />ada's voting precinct <br />l <br />C <br />o correction an <br />e <br />this progr•am and pointedpo~~hthat Litt <br />f the fr~eeway has the ~r~~--hi9hest concentration of people <br />t <br />res. 89-2-51 o <br />wes <br />55 and older in the School District. <br />Sheriff's LaValle reported that at the last Council meeting, the Council received <br />Overtime infor•mation r~eaar~dina the request of the Sher•iff's Department for use <br />Matter of the City's PERA excess funds to compensate the Sheriff's Department <br />for over•time that has accumulated over• the past few years. <br />Agenda <br />Item No. 19a The City Cler•k reported that the State forwards this money to t e <br />Sheriff's Department, and rather• than sending it on to the City, the <br />Sher•iff's Department is requesting that it be used for compensation <br />for overtime. <br />Mr•. LaValle introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTIOPI N0. 89-1-45 - NOTIFYING THE <br />SHERIFF S DEPARTMENT TO RETAIN THE CITY'S <br />EXCESS PERA FUNDS FROM THE STATE FOR USE <br />TOWARDS THE SNERIFF'S OVERTIME COMPENSATION <br />RATHER TNAN FORWARDING THE MONEY BACK TO THE <br />CITY <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mr. Blesener•. <br />Ayes (5) LaValle, Blesener, Collova, Fahey, Scalze. <br />Nays (0). <br />Resolution declar~ed adopted.. <br />This r•esolution appears in Resolution 3ook No. 21, Page 47. <br />Page -23- <br />
