Agenda Mr. S~veeney recommended that a special meeting be held on Item No. 14b this matter, hir. Fahey stated that the special meetinc~ should be held on M~y 3, 1989 at 7:00 p,m, P•9r. 131esener introcluced the following resolu~ion and moved its adoptiona RFSOLUTION NO. £39-4-~37 - RSCOMP+IENDTNG TH~1T TIIE COUNCIL HOLD ~1 SPECIAL I~IEETING ON P4AY 3, 19II9 AT 7:00 P.C~I. TO CONDUCT THE f3E~1RING AS REQO~STPD BY DANTEL DRAKF The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by t-9r. I`ahey. Ayes (5) 331esener, Collova, F'ahey, LaVa11e, Scalze. Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. This resolution appears in Resolution ~3ook No. 21, Page Cleanup ~+Ir. Fahey 9.ndicated that some oF the cleanup matters have c~iatters gone on for over a year, and felt that the Council should give the T3uilding Official direction on how to handle these Agenda matters. Mr, Pahey stated that he felt a May 1, 19£39 Item Ivo. 15 deadline should be set for compliance. t•4rs. Scalze indicated ~hat she has received several complaints from residents wanting to knoGa u~hy the Council cannot do anything about these cleanup rnatters. Mr. Collova stated that there is a business on Edgerton Street just north of LaBOre Road which is not complying with the City Codes, and Mr. Collova would like ~lr. Palacio to check this out. r9rs. Scalze Pe1t that the neighbors should not have to serve as policemen. C~rs. Scalze indicated that Mr. Palacio should resolve the obva.ous violations to the Code. b9r. Collova stated that P~r. Palacio has only done what tYie Council has asked of himy therefore, P4r. Collova £elt that the Council skzould not condemn him £or the approach he has taken in the past. Mr. Fahey indicated that now the Council wishes to become more strict ~aith the continuous violators. Page -12-
