MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA <br />May 3, 1989 <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a special meeting of the <br />Council of the City of Little Canada, Minnesota was held on the <br />3rd day of May, 1989 in the Council Chambers of the City Center <br />located at 515 Little Canada Road in said City. <br />Mayor Michael Fahey chaired the meeting and called it to order <br />at 7:10 P.M. and the following members of the Council were <br />present at roll call: <br />MEMBERS PRESENT: Mayor Mr. Michael Fahey <br />Councilman Mr. Bill Blesener <br />Councilman Mr. Rick Collova <br />Councilman Mr. Jim LaValle <br />Councilwoman Mrs. Beverly Scalze <br />ALSO PRESENT: <br />City Attorney <br />Former Public Works <br />Superintendent <br />City Clerk <br />Maintenance Worker <br />Mr. Thomas Sweeney <br />Mr. Roger Glanzer <br />Mr. Joseph Chlebeck <br />Mr. Daniel Drake <br />Facilities Fahey reported that the City Council has made the decision to form <br />Committee a Facilities Committee to study expansion, rennovation, or <br />relocation of the Fire Hall as well as future expansion of the <br />City Center. The City advertised for citizens interested in <br />serving on this Committee and applications were received from <br />Ray Hanson, former Mayor, Peggy Schweizer, Bill Sanders, and <br />Bill Ritchie. <br />Mrs. Scalze introduced the following resolution and moved its <br />adoption: <br />RESOLUTION N0. 89-5-186 - APPOINTING RAY <br />HANSON, PEGGY SCHWEIZER, BILL SANDERS AND <br />BILL RITCHIE TO THE CITY'S FACILITIES <br />COMMITTEE <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mr. LaValle. <br />Ayes (5) Scalze, LaValle, Fahey, Collova, Blesener. <br />Nays (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />The Council previously discussed the fact that former Mayor Ray <br />Hanson has offered to serve as chairman of this Committee. The <br />Council was in favor of this appointment. It was also suggested <br />that the first meeting of the Committee be scheduled for Tuesday, <br />Page -1- <br />
