Minutes <br />Council Meeting <br />June 28, 1989 <br />Budget The Council discussed the budget in regards to the new State <br />Law. The truth of taxation must be published. The law could <br />be changed at the special session, The Attorney was instructed <br />to issue the Council a memorandum explaining this law. <br />Mr. ~lesener introduced the following resolution and moved its <br />adoption: <br />RESOLUT~9~ N0~ II9=6-288 - AUTHORIZING ANNETTE FREEMAN TO G~T <br />HELP FROM BOII VOTO CONCERNING THE PR~P~RATTON OF TEIE BUDGET. <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mr. Fahey. <br />Ayes (4) <br />Nays (0) <br />Resolution declared adopted, <br />Payne Ave. r1r. Carley explained the reconstruction to be done on Payne <br />Ave. Tt would cost 5300,000 to do the whole street and <br />5100,000 to do just the north end. He questioned if there <br />would be an adjustment on the assessment because of the age of <br />the road. An option would be to pay the storm sewer portion <br />from the storm sewer fund which is not used up. <br />The Council instructed the Engineer to pu~ some figures <br />together per front footage. <br />Tobin Mr. Carley explained that h1r, Tobin wants a new driveway with a <br />new culvert. He will take it up with the County and get back <br />to him, <br />Demont <br />Soo Line f9r. Carley was instructed to get a figure for the Soo Line <br />Railroad signals for the next meeting. <br />Little <br />Canada <br />School Mr. Carley reported that a change order is required for the use <br />of a product called Enkamat to prevent erosion in the open <br />swale north of Gervais Creek. <br />hir, Fahey introduced the following resolution and moved its <br />adoptionc <br />RESOLUxzoN NO. 89-6-2II9 - APPF~OVING THE CHANGE ORDER EOR TFIE <br />ELEMENTARY SCHOOL PROJECT TN TH~ AMOUNT OF $6~015.00, <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mrs. Scalze. <br />Ayes (~) <br />Nays (0) <br />Resoluta.on declared adopted, <br />I'age 13 <br />
