Minutes <br />Council Meeting <br />June 2II, 1989 <br />Goeritz <br />b~7estwind <br />Drive Mr. Goeritz appeared before the Council with a petition from <br />96~ of the residents on Windrow Drive and Westwind Drive to <br />lower the speed limit to 20 miles per hour. ~ little boy was <br />hit 1as~ week by a car. There are 79 children under the age of <br />11 residing on these streets. <br />Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and moved its <br />adoption: <br />I2ESOLUTTON N0. 89-6-277 - DIRECTING TEIB ENGINEER 11ND 11TTORNEY <br />TO STUDY TflE 20 MILE AN HOUR SPEED LIPnITo AND DIRECTING THE <br />CTTY PLANNER TO CONDOCT A SURVEY OF TF3E IVBIGHBORING CITIES TO <br />SEE IF THEY HAVE A 20 PQTLE PER HOUR SPEED LIMTT. <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mr. Fahey. <br />Ayes (9) <br />Nays (0) <br />Resolution declared adopted, <br />This matter wi11 be tabled to the July 26 meeting <br />Seal Coating <br />Westsvind <br />Windrow Mr. Goeritz also addressed the subject of the larger rocks used <br />in the last seal coating of Plestwind Drive and Windrow Drive. <br />Mr. Harris recommended to reseal the street with smaller chips <br />at an additional total cost of 54,200. Bituminous Roadways <br />will do a test strip before doing the whole street. <br />Mr. L3lesener introduced the following resolution and moved its <br />adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 89=6-278 - ACCEPTING THE SUPERINTENDENT~S <br />RECOMMENDATION OF SEAL COFITING WTNDROW DRIVE AND NIESTWIND DRIVF, <br />WITH THE SDIALLER CHIPS. <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mrs. Scalze. <br />Ayes (4) <br />Nays (0) <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />I'age 7 <br />
