MINUTES <br />City Council <br />July 260 1989 <br />Litigation <br />Street <br />Sweeping <br />Part-time <br />FIelp <br />Mr, Sweeney requested that the Council discuss the Massman <br />liti~ation at a closed session following the meeting, <br />Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and moved <br />its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO> 89-7-347 - GOSNG INTO CLOSED SESSION TO <br />AI5CUSS PENDING LITIGATION AT THE END OE TAE MEETING. <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mrs, Scalze. <br />Ayes (4) <br />Nays (0) <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />Mr. Blesener introduced the fo11o4~ing resolution and moved <br />its adoption: <br />RE50LUTION N0. 89-7-34II - APPROVING TEIE CROSST069N SL~]EEPING <br />BID IN THE At40UNT OF 5850.00 TO REMOVE TAE EXCESS ROCK ON <br />THE SEAL COATING. <br />The foregoing resolution ~aas duly seconded by Mrs. Scalze. <br />Nays (4) <br />Ayes (0) <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />Mr. Blesener stated that the part-time maintenance help are <br />only paid minimum wage. Mr. Harris called the neighboring <br />cities in regard to their wages. He recommended raising <br />the part-time o~ages £rom 53.85 per hour to 55.00 per hour. <br />The remaining scale would progress as it was set up before< <br />Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and moved <br />its adoptions <br />RESOLUTION N0. E39-7-349 - INCREASING AS OF JULY 31 THE <br />STARTING FIRST YEAR WAGES FOR PUBLIC W012K5 PART-TIME FIELP <br />TO $5.00 PER HOUR~ INCREFI5ING THE OTHER STEPS F~CCORDINGLY. <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by rnrs.
