MINUTES <br />City Council <br />August 9, 19H9 <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mr. Fahey, <br />Ayes (4) Blesener, Fahey, Scalze, Collova. <br />Nays (0)< <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />The City Planner stated that he would contact Boarman & <br />Associates regarding their beginning work on the fire hall <br />study. The Planner estimated that their report would be <br />completed by the end of September. <br />Council discussed the timing for holding a referendum on the <br />fire hall, and Council felt that a referendum should be held <br />in November. <br />Fahey suggested that the Planner report on the status of the <br />architect's report at the next meeting. Fahey stated that <br />he would brief the Fire Chief on this topic, <br />HOLLOWAY The City Planner reviewed the letter received from Raymond <br />PARY.ING Holloway concerning the parking of vehicles on City <br />M~TTER right-of-way. The Planner stated that in his review of the <br /> Ordinance, the parking of vehicles on City property is not a <br /> permitted use. <br /> Blesener suggested that the City Planner do a more in-depth <br /> review of the Ordinance, and submit a written report to the <br /> Council on this matter. IIlesener also reported that he <br /> received a call from Mr. Holloway~s neighbor who ha~ <br /> indicated that he does not object to DZr. Holloway's <br /> proposal. <br />FIIRING OF Fahey reviewed the proposals received Prom Labor Relations <br />CITX Associates in the amount o£ 56,750, and Sathe & Associates <br />nDMINISTRA- in the amount of 510,000, for their assistance to the City <br />TOR in the hiring of a City Administrator. Pahey reported that <br /> he and Mr. Blesener have reviewed these proposals in detail, <br /> and it is their feeling that Sathe & Associates has the <br /> experience and expertise needed by the City. <br /> D1r, Slesener introduced the following resolution and moved <br /> its adoption: <br /> RESOLUTION N0. 89-a-370 - AUTHORIZING THE P4~YOR TO ENTER <br /> INTO AN AGREEMENT bVITH SATHE & ASSOCIATES FOR TEIEIR <br /> ASSISSTANCE IN FILLING THE POSITION OF CITY ADb1TNISTRATOR <br />Page 16 <br />
