MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />FEBRUARY 12, 2025 <br />RECLASSIFICATION OF EMPLOYEE TO PUBLIC WORKS SUPERVISOR — UTILITIES <br />The Public Works Director stated that a new position was created through the previous action, which <br />then created an opening in the utilities division. He stated that there is a current employee, Chris <br />Utech, who would be a great fit for the Utilities Supervisor position. He stated that staff recommends <br />the promotion as presented. Mayor Fischer commented that it is always helpful to be able to promote <br />from within, and that also creates a positive workplace environment. <br />Kwapick introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />APPROVINGRESOLUTION NO. 2025-2-29 — <br />WORKSPUBLIC SUPERVISORY- <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Miller. <br />Ayes (5). Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />COUNCIL REPORTS AND MEETING UPDATES <br />Kwapick provided an update on a recent meeting with Legislative Representatives related to two <br />upcoming projects in an attempt to have all the details to potentially include those projects in the <br />bonding funds. <br />Mayor Fischer commented that it was a great opportunity to share the project details with the <br />representatives. <br />Miller stated that he will attend a meeting with State Representatives the following day as part of the <br />Ramsey County League of Local Governments, at which time the priorities of that group will be <br />shared with the representatives. <br />Mayor Fischer provided an update on the recent meeting of the Regional Council of Mayors and <br />annual Little Canada Fire Relief meeting. <br />ADJOURN <br />There being no further business, upon motion by Miller, seconded by Guiterrez, the meeting was <br />adjourned at 8:32 p.m. <br />Thomas Fischer, Mayor <br />Attest: <br />Christopher Heine n, City Administrator <br />R <br />
