CONTRACT FOR CIVIL LEGAL SERVICES <br /> <br />This Contract for Civil Legal Services (the “Agreement” is effective as of the 13th day of <br />January, 2025, and is entered into by and between the CITY OF LITTLE CANADA, a municipal <br />corporation and political subdivision of the State of Minnesota (the “City”), and the law firm of <br />ECKBERG LAMMERS, P.C. (the “Law Firm”), for the purpose of utilizing the Law Firm to <br />provide civil municipal legal services to the City. <br /> <br />I. RECITALS <br /> <br />1. The City and the Law Firm desire to enter a contract for Civil Legal Services <br />through August 31, 2027, with hourly rates outlined as follows: <br /> <br /> 2025 2026 2027 <br />General Hourly Rate for All Attorneys $190 $195 $200 <br />General Hourly Rate for Paralegals $160 $164 $168 <br />General Hourly Rate for Law Clerks $150 $155 $160 <br />Special Hourly Rate - Attorney <br />Extraordinary Services, including <br />Development Pass-Through, Litigation, <br />Labor & Employment, <br />$250 $257 $278 <br />Special Hourly Rate – Paralegals <br />Development Pass-Through, Litigation, <br />Labor & Employment <br />$200 $206 $212 <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, IN CONSIDERATION OF the mutual promises contained herein and <br />other good and sufficient consideration, the parties agree to the following: <br /> <br />II. TERMS <br /> <br />1. Scope and Nature of General Counsel Services: The parties agree to the <br />following description of the nature of the legal services to be provided by the Law <br />Firm to the City: <br /> <br />a. Attend regular or special City Council and City Board and Commission <br />meetings as requested by the City Administrator or Council. <br /> <br />b. Review Council and Planning Commission agenda items and minutes, as <br />requested. <br /> <br />c. Availability for consultation with City Council, City Administrator, <br />department heads and authorized staff. <br /> <br />d. Draft and revise City ordinances, resolutions, and regulations. <br />
