Spooner Park Trail Repair - 1300 linear feet of bituminous trail are due for replacement in <br />Spooner Park. Trails were inspected in 2021 and assigned replacement dates after <br />reviewing the condition of all trails. <br />Parking Lot Repair – Spooner Park Lower Parking Lot will see a full-depth reclaim to <br />protect the sub-base and prevent a full reconstruction of the lot. Staff is pursuing the <br />removal of the center island. Pioneer Park lots are in disrepair. Minor repairs will be applied <br />to both the east and west parking lots. Full repair/replacement/expansion will happen in <br />conjunction with the construction of an indoor gathering space. <br />Community Gathering Space – Currently, a community gathering space is earmarked on <br />the 2027 CIP. A parcel of land has been purchased adjacent to Pioneer Park and has been <br />identified as a possible landing spot. A committee of city staff, council members, and <br />commission members have toured comparable sites. An engagement survey is currently <br />active and gathering data on what the community would like to see with an indoor gathering <br />space. Steps to move forward should be looked at during the strategic planning session. <br />2025 Buildings Projects: <br />City Hall Landscaping – A draft landscaping plan has been put together by Bolton & Menk. <br />Some minor tweaks are still being made and once it is finalized a contractor will be <br />selected and work will begin on a pretty substantial project to spruce up City Hall.
