<br /> <br /> STAFF REPORT <br /> <br /> <br />TO: Mayor Fischer and Members of City Council <br /> <br />FROM: Chris Heineman, City Administrator <br />Heidi Heller, City Clerk/HR Manager <br /> <br />DATE: February 12, 2025 <br /> <br />RE: Approval of Consulting Services Agreement with HueLife for City <br />Administrator Executive Search Services <br /> <br />ACTIONS TO BE CONSIDERED: <br />Staff is requesting City Council consideration in accepting a consulting services agreement with <br />HueLife, LLC for City Administrator Executive Search Services. This item is an unbudgeted <br />item and requires City Council approval. <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: <br />On January 8, 2025, the City Council accepted the resignation of the current City Administrator <br />who has accepted another position after serving the organization for over 6½ years. On January <br />10, staff drafted a request for quote for a City Administrator Executive Search. Three firms <br />responded by the January 20 due date. The proposed fees, including all expenses, are as follows: <br />Firm Cost <br />DDA $24,000 <br />HueLife $22,500 <br />MGT $25,000 <br /> <br />On January 22, a City Council Personnel Committee, consisting of Mayor Fischer and <br />Councilmember Kwapick, and staff met review the three proposals. Following review and <br />discussion, the Personnel Committee recommended moving forward with HueLife. <br /> <br />BUDGET: <br />The City Administrator Executive Search can be partially funded with the $15,000 contingency <br />budget for 2025. The remaining cost will need to come from fund balance or employee cost <br />savings from the three to four-month vacancy in the City Administrator position. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Staff is recommending the City Council accept the consulting services agreement from HueLife <br />(See Attachment A) for City Administrator Executive Search Services. <br /> <br />ATTACHMENTS: <br />• Attachment A: HueLife Consulting Services Agreement <br /> <br />
