BUILDINGS & STORMWATER SUPERVISOR JOB DESCRIPTION <br /> <br />5 <br />• Color vision to read gauges and identify appurtenances <br /> <br />• Hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone or radio <br /> <br />• The job involves frequent walking/standing in operational areas to identify problems or hazards <br /> <br />• Finger and hand dexterity is needed to access, enter, and retrieve data using a computer keyboard, <br />calculator, and phone, and to operate above-mentioned tools and equipment <br /> <br />• Upper body strength and flexibility is necessary to operate tripod for lowering/raising staff into <br />and out of confined spaces and for shoveling dirt, asphalt, rock, or other materials as needed, <br />lifting manhole covers, operating gate valves and hydrants, and any other physical task <br /> <br />• Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, reach, and climb for long periods of time to perform work in and <br />inspect work sites, <br /> <br />• Employees must possess the ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials and objects weighing up <br />to 100 pounds, or heavier weights with the use of proper equipment <br /> <br />• Use of personal protective equipment such as respirators, harnesses and related equipment <br /> <br />• Ability to work outdoors in adverse conditions and extreme weather <br />
