34 | Page <br />City of Little Canada Housing Study - 2025 <br />Population and Housing Stock Within Little Canada <br />The Census Bureau divides Little Canada into seven Block Groups, using I-35E as a natural <br />boundary. The city’s total population of approximately 10,500 residents is evenly split between <br />the east and west sides of the interstate. Five Block Groups are located west of I-35E, with a <br />combined population of about 5,200 residents. Two Block Groups are located east of I-35E, with <br />a combined population of about 5,300 residents. <br />Map 1 – Population by 2023 Block Groups <br /> <br />Age of Population <br />Map 2 shows the median age of residents by Block Group. In general, western Little Canada has <br />a younger population compared to the eastern side. The northwestern Block Group has a notably <br />lower median age of 28 years, compared to higher median ages in all other areas.
