MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA <br />October 25, 1989 <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a regular <br />meeting of the Council of the City of Little Canada, <br />Minnesota was held on the 25th day o£ October, 1989 in <br />the Council Chambers of the City Center located at 515 <br />Little Canada Road in said City. <br />Mayor Michael Fahey chaired the meeting and called it <br />to order at 7:30 P.M. The following members of the <br />Council were were present at roll call: <br />MEMBERS PRESENT: Mayor Mr. Michael Fahey <br />Councilwoman Mrs. Beverly Scalze <br />Councilman Mr. Bill Blesener <br />Councilman Mr. Rick Collova <br />Councilman Mr. Jim LaValle <br />ALSO PRESENT: City Engineer Mr. Donald Carley <br />City Attorney Mr. Thomas Sweeney <br />City Planner Mr. Steve Grittman <br />Rec. Secretary Mrs. Kathy Glanzer <br />ANNOUNCEMENTS The Mayor reported that as part of the Minnesota Fire <br />Safety Project, Saturday, October 28th, at 6:30 P.M. a <br />State-wide fire drill has been scheduled. Fahey urged <br />residents to participate in this drill and also to <br />check their smoke detectors to make sure they are <br />operating. <br />Scalze announced that at the last Ramsey County League <br />of Local Governments meeting, the City of Little Canada <br />and Bill Bruce, the City's Cable TV producer, were <br />presented with the Government Agency of the Quarter <br />Award. The award was given to recognize the City and <br />Bruce for the amount of local programming the City does <br />as well as the educational information provided by the <br />City. <br />Fahey announced that the Governor has proclaimed the <br />month of November as Family Celebration Month, and is <br />requesting that families concentrate on developing good <br />family ties. Fahey reported that there is more <br />information on this topic available at City Hall for <br />anyone who is interested. <br />Page 1 <br />
