Mrs. Scalze introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 89-10-526 - AUTHORIZING BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT SERVICES TO WORK WITH TAE DEVELOPERS IN THE CENTERVILLE ROAD AREA AS DISCUSSED The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mr. Fahey. Ayes (5) Scalze, Fahey, LaValle, Collova, Blesener. Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. GARDNER Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and BROS. SIGN moved its adoption: RESOLUTION N0. 89-10-527 - INSTRUCTING THE BUILDING INSPECTOR TO INFORM GARDNER BROS. THAT THEY MUST REMOVE THEIR EXISTING SIGN OR THE CITY WILL BEGIN LEGAL ACTION TO HAVE IT REMOVED The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mr. Fahey. SEWER & The City Engineer explained that in 1967 sewer line was WATER installed in the Jackson Street and LaBore Road area, ASSESSMENTS however, two hous es on the north end of Jackson elected 2875 not to have sewer and the those houses were left out of JACKSON STR. the improvement. The City Engineer reported, however, that the property at 2875 Jackson was assessed for the improvement. The Engineer stated that the same situation occurre d in 1971 when the watermain was installed. The City Engineer reported that 2875 Jackson Street now wants to connect to sewer and water, and it is the recommendation of the Engineer and Public Works Superintendent that the property owner pay the cost of connecting except for approximately $60 for the sewer and $350 for water. These costs were not paid by the homeowner as part of the assessment. It is also Page 27
