MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />October 25, 1989 <br />split and site plan approval. Fahey explained the <br />various phases the developer is proposing and pointed <br />out that the plan includes redevelopment of the <br />existing single-family homes on Country Drive. Fahey <br />reported that the developer is proposing to present <br />this concept to the Planning Commission at its November <br />meeting and then proceed with a formal presentation to <br />the City Council at its second meeting in November. <br />Fahey reported that the Economic Development Committee <br />is recommending concept approval and that the City <br />Planner be authorized to work with the developer on <br />this project. <br />Scalze reported that the facade of the buildings are <br />proposed to be high-tech in appearance, and that the <br />developer is planning for a theme throughout the office <br />park, rather than having every building identical. The <br />buildings proposed are office/showroom. Scalze also <br />reported that Ed Nadeau requested assurances that <br />Nadeau Road would remain on centerline and did not want <br />additional road right-of-way that may be needed for the <br />road to come exclusively from his property. <br />Fahey pointed out that the layout of the park appears <br />to retain the centerline for Nadeau Road. <br />Mrs. Scalze introduced the following resolution and <br />mvoed its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION N0. 89-10-525 - APPROVING THE CONCEPT OF THE <br />COUNTRY DRIVE DEVELOPMENT PROPOSAL SUBMITTED BY LOREN <br />BRUGGEMANN AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY PLANNER TO WORK <br />WITA THE DEVELOPER WITHIN THE TIMEFRAMES DISCUSSED <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mr. <br />Blesener. <br />Ayes (5) Scalze, Blesener, Fahey, Collova, LaValle. <br />Nays (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />Fahey reported that Business Development Services <br />indicated at the Economic Development Committee meeting <br />this morning that they have two potential developers <br />interested in the Centerville Road area. Fahey <br />reported that the Committee feels that BDS should be <br />authorized to work on an hourly basis to market these <br />Page 26 <br />
