MINUTES
CITY COUNCIL
October 25, 1989
Blesener felt that if in the future the property is
sold with this large garage, the City is inviting a
business to come in.
Fahey replied that that is a matter of policing. Fahey
pointed out that the required setbacks are being met,
the property is large and Campbell has been paying
taxes on the property.
Scalze pointed out that at the request of the property
owners, the City has deleted the possibility of a road
being improved that would access the back of this
property.
Fahey asked if the garage could be set in line with the
existing structure.
Campbell replied that he has placed the garage as shown
because there is an existing tree that he would like to
save. Campbell also pointed out that he would be
driving through his existing garage to access the new
one.
Upon motion by Blesener, seconded by LaValle, the
public hearing was closed.
Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and
moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION N0. 89-10-516 - APPROVING THE CONDITIONAL
USE PERMIT REQUESTED BY GREG CAMPBELL, 2881 EDGERTON
STREET FOR AN ACCESSORY GARAGE SUBJECT TO THE
RECOMMENDATIONS OF THE CITY PLANNER, CITY ENGINEER,
CITY ATTORNEY, AND BUILDING INSPECTOR
The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mrs.
Scalze.
Ayes (4) LaValle, Scalze, Collova, Fahey.
Nays (1) Blesener.
Resolution declared adopted.
PUBLIC Fahey opened the Public Hearing to consider the
HEARING application submitted by Terry McTeague, 2565 Stark
MCTEAGUE Street, for an accessory garage in rear yard abutting
CUP FOR Sylvan Street.
ACCESSORY
GARAGE Fahey reported that the Planning Commission has
recommended approval subject to the Council's
Page 4
