MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />November 8, 1989 <br />FINAL The City Engineer reviewed his letter dated November 3, <br />PAYMENT 1989 recommending final payment for Imp. No. 89-18, <br />IMP. NO. repair of Demont due to watermain break, in the amount <br />89-18 of $10,583.00 to F. M. Frattalone Excavating. The <br />Engineer noted that upon payment for this improvement, <br />the State Aid office will release approximately $70,000 <br />in State Aid funds to the City. <br />Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 89-11-554 - APPROVING THE PAYMENT OF <br />$10,583.00 TO F. M. FRATTALONE EXCAVATING AS FINAL <br />PAYMENT FOR IMP. NO. 89-18 BASED ON THE RECOMMENDATION <br />OF THE CITY ENGINEER <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mrs. <br />Scalze. <br />Ayes (5) Blesener, Scalze, Collova, LaValle, Fahey. <br />Nays (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />BOOSALIS Scalze reported that in reviewing the minutes of the <br />PROJECT Watershed District meeting, there is reference to the <br />small marsh area within the project and concern was <br />expressed that adequate erosion control measures be <br />taken to protect this marsh. Scalze noted that the <br />project plans have been amended relocating the marsh, <br />and asked who was responsible for communicating this <br />information to the Watershed. <br />The City Engineer reported that Boosalis's engineer is <br />working on final plans at this time, and it is the <br />developer's engineer who is responsible for forwarding <br />the plans to the Watershed. <br />CITY CENTER Scalze reported that a workshop meeting was held with <br />NEEDS the City Council, Fire Department, and Boarman & <br />ASSESSMENT Associates to review the needs assessment that is <br />underway for the new Fire Station. At that meeting, <br />the Council asked Boarman & Associates to look at the <br />preliminary concept plans that SEH did for City Center <br />expansion and to make a recommendation as to <br />feasibility and cost for an addition onto the City <br />Center. <br />Page 14 <br />
