MINUTES CITY COUNCIL November 8, 1989 FINAL The City Engineer reviewed his letter dated November 3, PAYMENT 1989 recommending final payment for Imp. No. 89-18, IMP. NO. repair of Demont due to watermain break, in the amount 89-18 of $10,583.00 to F. M. Frattalone Excavating. The Engineer noted that upon payment for this improvement, the State Aid office will release approximately $70,000 in State Aid funds to the City. Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 89-11-554 - APPROVING THE PAYMENT OF $10,583.00 TO F. M. FRATTALONE EXCAVATING AS FINAL PAYMENT FOR IMP. NO. 89-18 BASED ON THE RECOMMENDATION OF THE CITY ENGINEER The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mrs. Scalze. Ayes (5) Blesener, Scalze, Collova, LaValle, Fahey. Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. BOOSALIS Scalze reported that in reviewing the minutes of the PROJECT Watershed District meeting, there is reference to the small marsh area within the project and concern was expressed that adequate erosion control measures be taken to protect this marsh. Scalze noted that the project plans have been amended relocating the marsh, and asked who was responsible for communicating this information to the Watershed. The City Engineer reported that Boosalis's engineer is working on final plans at this time, and it is the developer's engineer who is responsible for forwarding the plans to the Watershed. CITY CENTER Scalze reported that a workshop meeting was held with NEEDS the City Council, Fire Department, and Boarman & ASSESSMENT Associates to review the needs assessment that is underway for the new Fire Station. At that meeting, the Council asked Boarman & Associates to look at the preliminary concept plans that SEH did for City Center expansion and to make a recommendation as to feasibility and cost for an addition onto the City Center.
