MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />November 8, 1989 <br />new Fire Department and City Center expansion needs and <br />that is why the Council requested the proposal for a <br />needs assessment for the City Center from Boarman & <br />Associates. <br />Scalze again stated that creative methods should be <br />looked at, but agreed that the bottom line is the cost. <br />Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 89-11-555 - APPROVING THE PROPOSAL FROM <br />BOARMAN & ASSOCIATES FOR CITY CENTER NEEDS ASSESSMENT <br />STUDY AT A COST OF $3,456.00 <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mr. <br />LaValle. <br />Ayes (5) Blesener, LaValle, Scalze, Collova, Fahey. <br />Nays (O). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />Scalze suggested that the concept plans which Boarman & <br />Associates presented for the new Fire Station be <br />available at City Center for any interested residents <br />to review. Council agreed, and City staff was <br />instructed to request reduced copies of these plans <br />from Boarman & Associates. <br />Council noted that it has twice advertised for a <br />Citizens Advisory Committee to aid in the study of City <br />Center expansion needs, and no applications have been <br />received. <br />Blesener suggested that a public hearing should be held <br />on the issue of the new Fire Station. <br />Fahey suggested that such public hearing be held at the <br />same meeting that the public hearing is conducted to <br />consider the sale of bonds to finance the fire station. <br />DRAKE Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and <br />RESIGNATION moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 89-11-556 - ACCEPTING THE RESIGNATION OF <br />DAN DRAKE WHICH IS EFFECTIVE NOVEMBER 26, 1989 <br />Page 16 <br />
