MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />December 27, 1989 <br />The City Planner reviewed the Code and reported that <br />the I-P District limits building exteriors to a maximum <br />of 25% metal on each side. <br />Scalze asked if the Code addressed metal roofs. <br />The Planner replied that it did not. <br />Blesener asked about the retail use of the building. <br />The City Planner pointed out that if the retail use <br />exceeds a certain percentage, a conditional use permit <br />is required. <br />DeBace did not anticipate much retail activity. <br />Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION N0. 89-12-616 - TABLING ACTION ON THE PLAN <br />REVIEW OF THE 9,000 SQUARE FOOT RETAIL/COMMERCIAL <br />BUILDING AS PROPOSED BY MR. BOB DEBACE SUBJECT TO <br />REVIEW AND COMMENT ON THE SITE PLAN BY THE CITY PLANNER <br />WITH REGARD TO SITE PLAN COMPLIANCE WITH THE <br />REQUIREMENTS OF THE I-P DISTRICT <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Fahey. <br />Ayes (5) Blesener, Fahey, Collova, Scalze, LaValle. <br />Nays (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />PROPERTY Pat Flynn, representing School District #623, appeared <br />DIVISION before the Council requestinq the property division <br />CAPITAL VIEW of the Capital View site. Flynn reported that the <br />SITE School District is selling the Capital View building <br />and a portion of the property to School District #916 <br />retaining the remaining property. The total property <br />area is 25.2 acres, with 15.2 acres being sold to 916 <br />and District #623 retaining 10 acres. <br />Flynn reported that #623 is retaining substantially all <br />the recreational facilities at the site and there are <br />joint use agreements between the two school districts <br />for shared use of these recreational facilities. Both <br />school districts also have first-right-of-refusal on <br />the property. <br />Page 10 <br />
