MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />December 27, 1989 <br />Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION N0. 89-12-623 - INSTRUCTING THE CITY <br />ATTORNEY TO PREPARE AN ORDINANCE AMENDMENT ADOPTING THE <br />FALSE ALARM FEES AS OUTLINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Fahey. <br />Ayes (4) Blesener, Fahey, Collova, LaValle. <br />Nays (1) Scalze. <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />ROUND LAKE The City Attorney requested that discussion of the <br />RETAINING Round Lake retaining wall situation be postponed for <br />WALL two weeks. <br />NORTH STAR Council reviewed the North Star Estates Storm Shelter <br />ESTATES Agreement. <br />STORM SHELTER <br />AGREEMENT Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION N0. 89-12-624 - AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND <br />CITY ADMINISTRATOR TO EXECUTE THE NORTH STAR ESTATES <br />STORM SHELTER AGREEMENT ON BEHALF OF THE CITY <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Scalze. <br />Ayes (5) LaValle, Scalze, Collova, Blesener, Fahey. <br />Nays (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />Fahey pointed out that as part of the County grant for <br />construction of the storm shelter, the County wants the <br />City to acquire the necessary land for the storm <br />shelter and wants assurances that the City will <br />maintain the storm shelter. Fahey reported that the <br />trailer park owners are willing to convey the necessary <br />land to the City. <br />Blesener pointed out that under these circumstances, <br />the City will also assume the liability. <br />The City Attorney agreed that if the City is <br />responsible for maintenance of the shelter, it must be <br />maintained in good condition. <br />Page 22 <br />
