MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />December 27, 1989 <br />Farnham reported that when the Council determines the <br />amount of the bond necessary for the fire station <br />project at the workshop on January 4th, he will come <br />back with with information at the January 10th Council <br />meeting so that the Council can call for the bond sale <br />at that time. <br />TIF DISTRICT Pat Pelstring, Business Development Services, appeared <br />FOR COUNTRY the Council submitting a proposed resolution prepared <br />DRIVE AREA by Briggs and Morgan calling for a public hearing for <br />February 14th to consider the establishment of a TIF <br />District in the Country Drive area in order to provide <br />TIF assistance to the development proposed in that area <br />by LEB Development. Pelstring reported that he has <br />also been in contact with Briggs and Morgan requesting <br />that a first draft of the development agreement for the <br />project be drawn up. <br />Mrs. Scalze introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 89-12-612 - CALLING A PUBLIC HEARING ON <br />THE PROPOSED ADOPTION OF THE MODIFIED DEVELOPMENT <br />PROGRAM FOR DEVELOPMENT DISTRICT NO. l, AND THE <br />PROPOSED ESTABLISHMENT OF TAX INCREMENT FINANCING <br />DISTRICT N0. 4 AND THE PROPOSED ADOPTION OF A TAX <br />INCREMENT FINANCING PLAN RELATING THERETO FOR <br />WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 14, 1990 AT 7:30 P.M. <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mr. <br />Blesener. <br />Ayes (5) Scalze, Blesener, Fahey, LaValle, Collova. <br />Nays (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />CENTERVILLE Fahey reported that the Economic Development Committee <br />ROAD AREA has been acting under the assumption that property in <br />the Centerville Road area is for sale, and he has been <br />informed by Mr. Frattalone that his property is not for <br />sale. Therefore, Fahey felt that before any additional <br />efforts are made to attract developers to this area, <br />the property owners should be polled to determine whose <br />property is for sale. Once this is done, the Committee <br />may be able to develop a plan to work around the <br />properties which are not for sale. <br />Page 4 <br />
