MINUTES
City Council
January 4, 1990
Fahey suggested that any purchase agreement for the
structures, if they are sold, contain a clause
requiring them to be moved out of the City limits.
At this point in the meeting, Boarman & Associates
presented two schematic plans for the fire station.
One plan was for a one-story building, while the other
was for a two-story building.
It was suggested that the paving of the lower parking
lot be included as an alternate in the bid, pointing
out that this paving could be delayed.
Scalze suggested moving the parking area proposed at
the front of the building towards the back in order to
get additional green area at the front of the building.
Mickelberg felt this a good suggestion and pointed out
that the building entrance could also be moved towards
the back of the building.
Fahey suggested that a basement level be bid as an
alternate, pointing out that this would be good future
storage area. Fahey pointed out that the 10% savings
realized by going with a two-story building could be
used towards basement costs.
At this point, 9:20 P.M., the meeting was adjourned.
~ ~
/\\ _.
'7 / \ ~y ~ _
Attest: / -' ~~: ~~%_ ~~. i~,'
Jo~}. .
