MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />January 10, 1990 <br />Mrs. Scalze introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION N0. 90-1-24 - APPROVING A SHRUBERY GIFT IN <br />THE AMOUNT OF $100 TO MR5. KATHY TIPLER FOR HER PAST <br />WORK ON BEHALF OF THE CITY IN THE AREA OF ORGANIZED <br />COLLECTION <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Collova. <br />Ayes (2) Scalze, Collova. <br />Nays (3) Fahey, Blesener, LaValle. <br />Resolution denied. <br />Mr. Collova introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION N0. 90-1-25 - APPROVING A SHRUBERY GIFT IN <br />THE AMOUNT OF $35 TO $50 FOR MRS. KATHY TIPLER FOR HER <br />PAST WORK ON BEHALF OF THE CITY IN THE AREA OF <br />ORGANIZED COLLECTION <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Blesener. <br />Ayes (3) Collova, Blesener, Fahey. <br />Nays (2) Scalze, LaValle. <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />LaValle felt that since past policy has been to provide <br />either plaques or certificates of appreciation for past <br />services, that policy should be followed. <br />Scalze opposed the resolution feeling that the $100 <br />shrubery gift was more appropriate in this instance. <br />RECREATION Scalze reported that the architect for the recreation <br />BUILDING building in Pioneer Park is ready to prepare <br />PIONEER PARK specifications for that building. Scalze pointed out <br />that the estimated cost of the building is $200,000 and <br />those funds will be provided through donations. <br />Mrs. Scalze introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 90-1-26 - AUTHORIZING THE PREPARATION OF <br />PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE RECREATION BUILDING <br />PROPOSED IN PIONEER PARK IN PREPARATION FOR ADVERTISING <br />FOR BIDS FOR CONSTRUCTION OF THAT BUILDING <br />Page 21 <br />
