MINUTES CITY COUNCIL January 24, 1990 Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption; RESOLUTION NO. 90-1-46 - APPROVING THE HIRING OF JOHN DATKO AS FULL-TIME MAINTENANCE WORKER AT THE PUBLISHED RATE BASED ON THE RECOMMENDATION OF THE PUBLIC WORKS SUPERINTENDENT AND CONTINGENT UPON DATKO'S PASSING A PHYSICAL WITH FULL-TIME EMPLOYMENT TO BEGIN AT THE START OF THE NEXT FULL PAY PERIOD The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Scalze. Ayes (5) Blesener, Scalze, LaValle, Collova, Fahey. Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. ST. JEROME's The City has received application for approval of a CHURCH one-time gambling license from St. Jerome's Church so GAMBLING that they can hold a gold plate dinner at the Venetian LICENSE Inn on April 22, 1990. St. Jerome's is also requesting approval so that they can sell pull-tabs at this function. It was noted that St. Joseph's Society already holds a license to sell pull tabs at the Venetian, therefore, the City cannot approve a license for St. Jerome's Church allowing pull-tab sales. However, 5t. Jerome's can contact St. Joseph's Society about a donation. Mrs. Scalze introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION N0. 90-1-47 - APPROVING THE APPLICATION FOR GAMBLING LICENSE SUBMITTED BY ST. JEROME'S CHURCH TO CONDUCT A GOLD PLATE DINNER AT THE VENETIAN INN ON APRIL 22, 1990, WITH THAT LICENSE TO EXCLUDE THE SALE OF PULL-TABS, AND WAIVING THE CITY'S REVIEW PERIOD FOR THIS APPLICATION The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Blesener. Ayes (5) Scalze, Blesener, Collova, Fahey, LaValle, Nays (o). Resolution declared adopted. 1990 BUDGET The City Administrator reported that the County RESOLUTION requested a clarification of the City's resolution adopting the 1990 Budget specifically as regards debt levies.
