MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA <br />JANUARY 26, 1990 <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a special <br />meeting of the Council of the City of Little Canada, <br />Minnesota was held on the 26th day of January, 1990 in <br />the Council Chambers of the City Center located at 515 <br />Little Canada Road in said City. <br />Acting Mayor Beverly Scalze chaired the meeting and <br />called it to order at 4:30 P.M. and the following <br />members of the Council were present at roll call: <br />MEMBERS PRESENT: Acting Mayor Mrs. Beverly Scalze <br />Councilperson Mr. Bill Blesener <br />Councilperson Mr. Rick Collova <br />Councilperson Mr. Jim LaValle <br />MEMBERS ABSENT: Mayor Mr. Michael Fahey <br />ALSO PRESENT: City Admin. Mr. Joel Hanson <br />Rec. Secretary Mrs. Kathy Glanzer <br />The purpose of this special meeting is to review the <br />proposal submitted by Boarman & Associates for <br />architectural services on both the new fire station <br />project and the City Center project. <br />The City Administrator reported that he has reviewed <br />the proposals submitted by Boarman & Associates and has <br />already negotiated some language changes with them. <br />However, the biggest issue to resolve this evening is <br />the fees proposed. The Administrator reported that he <br />has tried to evaluate Boarman's proposals using the <br />Little Canada Elementary School project as a basis, and <br />in doing so obtained a copy of the School District's <br />summary of architectural proposals, a copy of which he <br />submitted to the Councilmembers. <br />The Administrator reported that Boarman & Associates <br />proposed fees of 7 1/2% for architectural services for <br />the Fire Station and 9 1/2% for these services for the <br />City Center expansion project. After discussion with <br />Boarman, they have agreed to drop these fees to 7% and <br />Page 1 <br />
