MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />March 14, 1990 <br />TAX FORFEIT The Council reviewed the corresondence from the County <br />PROPERTY IN regarding tax-forfeit property in the Park Street area. <br />PARK STREET It was the concensus of the Council to refer the matter <br />AREA to the Park Commission for their recommendation prior <br />to taking action. Council also suggested that the <br />Public Works Superintendent review the property and <br />determine whether or not the property appears to be <br />buildable. <br />Mr. Fahey introduced the following resolution and moved <br />its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 90-3-129 - TABLING ACTION ON THE TAX <br />FORFEIT PROPERTY IN THE PARK STREET AREA PENDING A <br />RECOMMENDATION FROM THE PARK COMMISSION AND PUBLIC <br />WORKS SUPERINTENDENT <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Scalze, <br />Ayes (5) Fahey, Scalze, Collova, Blesener, LaValle, <br />Nays (o). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />SPEED LIMITS The Council reviewed the letter from the Public Works <br />IN MOBILEHOME Superintendent regarding posted speed limits in the <br />PARKS City's mobilehome parks. It was the concensus of the <br />Council that Public Works contact the owners of the <br />mobilehome parks requesting better posting of speed <br />limits. <br />The City Administrator reported that the Ramsey County <br />Sheriff's Department has informed him that they are <br />enforcing speed limits in the City's mobilehome parks. <br />RECYCLING Scalze reported that recycling materials on Beam Avenue <br />and Iona Lane are not being picked up on Wednesday's as <br />they should be, but rather Thursday's or Friday's. <br />The City's contract calls for this pick-up to be on <br />Wednesday's, and Scalze felt that the result is that <br />people are beginning to not participate. <br />The Public Works Superintendent reported that he has <br />discussed this with Bellaire who reported that there <br />have been problems with the recycling drivers missing <br />streets. Bellaire assured him that the problem would <br />be corrected. <br />Collova suggested that Public Works remind Bellaire the <br />day before recycling pick-up day to pick up on every <br />Page 19 <br />
