MINUTES CITY COUNCIL March 28, 1990 PROPERTY LOCATED AT 2795 LAKESIDE COURT ON THE BASIS OF COMPLETION OF THE EASEMENT QUESTION ON TAAT PROPERTY AND BASED ON THE CITY ENGINEER'S RECOMMENDATION FOR APPROVAL OF THE PERMIT APPLICATION The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Blesener. Ayes (4) Fahey, Blesener, Collova, Scalze. Nays (o). Resolution declared adopted. The City Administrator recommended compensation to the Ganzel's in the amount of $167.00 for extension of the easement as outlined in his letter dated March 23, 1990. Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 90-3-140 - APPROVING ACQUISITION OF THE EASEMENT EXTENSION ON THE GANZEL PROPERTY LOCATED AT 2795 LAKESIDE COURT AS OUTLINED IN THE CITY ADMINISTRATOR'S LETTER DATED MARCH 23, 1990, AND AUTHORIZING PAYMENT TO THE GANZEL'S IN THE AMOUNT OF $167.00 AS COMPENSATION FOR THE ADDITIONAL EASEMENT The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Scalze. Ayes (4) Blesener, Scalze, Collova, Fahey. Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. WORKERS COMP The Council reviewed the letter of the City INSURANCE Administrator dated March 23, 1990 outlining cost savings to the City by switching its Workers' Compensation Insurance coverage to the Employee Benefit Administration for the League of Minnesota Cities' insurance plan. The City Administrator reported that he was informed by the 5tate Mutual Fund Insurance Company today that they will provide a discount to the City for this coverage, and that the City is eligible for their rebate program in 1990, however, the rebate is not guaranteed. The Administrator reported that even with the discount and possible rebate, the coverage through the EBA would result in an annual cost savings of $2,000.
