MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />March 28, 1990 <br />Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 90-3-136 - DENYING THE VARIANCE <br />APPLICATION SUBMITTED BY FUEL ECONOMY TO ALLOW THE <br />CONSTRUCTION OF TWO ADDITIONAL ACCESSORY STORAGE <br />BUILDINGS EXCEEDING THE 30 PERCENT ALLOWABLE ACCESSORY <br />BUILDING AREA SINCE THERE IS NO AARDSHIP PRESENT WHICH <br />WARRANTS GRANTING THE VARIANCE REQUEST <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Scalze. <br />Ayes (4) Blesener, Scalze, Collova, Fahey. <br />Nays (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION N0. 90-3-137 - AUTHORIZING THE CITY PLANNER <br />TO PREPARE A TEXT AMENDMENT ADDRESSING ACCESSORY <br />STORAGE BUILDING AREA TAKING INTO CONSIDERATION <br />PREVIOUS REQUESTS OF THIS NATURE <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Scalze. <br />Ayes (4) Blesener, Scalze, Collova, Fahey. <br />Nays (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />KATH BROS. Fahey opened the Public Hearing to consider the <br />CUP FOR NEW application submitted by Kath Bros. Fuel Oil Company <br />FUEL STATION for a Conditional Use Permit to allow the construction <br />of a new fuel station and car wash. Fahey pointed out <br />that the Planning Commission recommended approval of <br />the application subject to 32 additional parking spaces <br />being provided and the combination of the parcels into <br />one. <br />Blesener asked if the fuel tanks proposed would be <br />underground, <br />Bruce Kath, representing Kath Bros., replied that the <br />existing underground tanks would be replaced with new <br />underground tanks that meet the standards required by <br />the Federal Government for 1998. <br />Blesener asked if the existing semis at the site will <br />be moved out of the City. <br />Page 7 <br />
