MINUTES CITY COUNCIL APRIL 2~ 1990 Mr. Grieman, the property owner, reported that Mr. Howe would be reimbursed for his time and costs. Blesener stated that he had concern that the site was not a good residential site since it is located between two freeways, and believed the EMC proposal was in the City's best long-range interests. Collova felt the property could go either way, but stated that he felt the EMC proposal was a better use of the property. Mrs. Scalze introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION N0. 90-4-158 - CALLING FOR A PUBLIC HEARING ON WEDNESDAY, APRIL 25, 1990, AT 7:30 P.M. TO CONSIDER THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A TAX INCREMENT FINANCING DISTRICT IN CONJUNCTION WITx THE EMC CORPORATION PROPOSAL AND CONSIDERING THE ENLARGEMENT OF THE EXISTING DEVELOPMENT DISTRICT, AND FORWARDING THE MATTER TO THE PLANNING COMMISSION FOR THEIR REVIEW AND COMMENT The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Fahey. Ayes (4) Scalze, Fahey, Collova, Blesener. Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. Fahey instructed the City staff to get the appropriate information to the Planning Commission for their review at their April 5th meeting. Collova suggested that the City Administrator prepare a letter summarizing the proposal for the Planning Commission. Mr. Fahey introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 90-4-159 - AUTHORIZING CITY STAFF, AS NECESSARY, ALONG WITH BOND COUNSEL AND BUSINE55 DEVELOPMENT SERVICES TO TAKE THE NECESSARY STEPS ON BEHALF OF THE CITY TO PROCEED WITH WHATEVER IS NECESSARY IN CONNECTION WITH THE PROPOSED EMC CORPORATION PROJECT INCLUDING PREPARATION OF THE DOCUMENTS NECESSARY FOR ESTABLISHMENT OF A TIF DISTIRCT AND PREPARATION OF A LETTER OF INTENT WITA THE DEVELOPER The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Scalze.
