There will be <br />~ in the next City <br />Blesener indicated that the meeting was very <br />interesting and informational. <br />PUBLIC Fahey opened the public hearing to consider the <br />HEARING application submitted by Anne Hennessey, 101 Yorkton <br />CONDITIONAL Ridge, for a conditional use permit to conduct a home <br />USE PERMIT day care center for 14 to 15 children in an R-1 Zoning <br />FOR DAY CARE District. Fahey noted that the Planning Commission <br />CENTER recommended approval of the CUP subject to the <br />HENNESSEY recommendations of the City Planner as contained in his <br />April 30th report. Fahey also noted that the City's <br />Code currently allows day care centers for up to 12 <br />children as a permitted use. <br />Anne Hennessey reported that she is currently licensed <br />by the County to conduct day care for 12 children in <br />her home. However, the County's license limits the <br />number of infants and toddlers to 4. Therefore, <br />Hennessey would like to obtain a State license since <br />the State does not place a limitation on the number of <br />infants and toddlers. Hennessey reported that the <br />State will not license a day care unless there are at <br />least 14 children. Hennessey also reported that there <br />is a great demand for infant and toddler day care in <br />this area. <br />Fahey noted the concerns of the neighbors which were <br />raised at the Planning Commission meeting regarding <br />traffic and parking. Fahey also pointed out that while <br />it was noted at the Planning Commission meeting that <br />Page 2 <br />
