MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />May 23, 1990 <br />Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 90-5-266 - APPROVING APPRAISALS OF VALUE <br />FOR REAL PROPERTY TO BE ACQUIRED RELATIVE TO LITTLE <br />CANADA IMPROVEMENT PROJECT 89-16 AND AUTAORIZING THE <br />DISBURSEMENT OF FUNDS AS OUTLINED BY THE CITY ATTORNEY <br />FOR THE PURCHASE OF TAE NECESSARY EASEMENTS <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Scalze. <br />Ayes (5) LaValle, Scalze, Collova, Blesener, Fahey. <br />Nays (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />VOUCHERS Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 90-5-267 - APPROVING THE VOUCHERS <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Blesener. <br />Ayes (5) LaValle, Blesener, Collova, Scalze, Fahey. <br />Nays (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />WARMING Scalze reported that there is $20,000 budgeted for <br />HOU5E construction of a new warming house. Jim Morelan will <br />be approaching the North Suburban Youth Association as <br />well as other donors requesting additional funds for <br />this project. <br />NEWSLETTER Scalze reminded the Council that the submission <br />deadline for the City's newsletter is June 15th. <br />BOND SALE The City Administrator recommended that the Council <br />call for a bond sale for the Centre Place project as <br />well as the Country Drive reconstruction project. <br />Bonds amounts were estimated at $150,000 for Country <br />Drive and $365,000 for Centre Place. The Administrator <br />reported that the bonds would be general obligation <br />bonds, tax-exempt, on a negotiated sale basis. The <br />bonds would be awarded at the June 27th meeting. <br />Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 90-5-268 - CALL FOR A BOND SALE FOR THE <br />COUNTRY DRIVE RECONSTRUCTION PROJECT AND CENTRE PLACE <br />PROJECT FOR JUNE 27, 1990 AT 7:30 P.M. SUBJECT TO <br />APPROVAL BY THE CITY ADMINISTRATOR AND CITY ATTORNEY <br />Page 22 <br />
