MINUTES CITY COUNCIL May 23, 1990 Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 90-5-266 - APPROVING APPRAISALS OF VALUE FOR REAL PROPERTY TO BE ACQUIRED RELATIVE TO LITTLE CANADA IMPROVEMENT PROJECT 89-16 AND AUTAORIZING THE DISBURSEMENT OF FUNDS AS OUTLINED BY THE CITY ATTORNEY FOR THE PURCHASE OF TAE NECESSARY EASEMENTS The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Scalze. Ayes (5) LaValle, Scalze, Collova, Blesener, Fahey. Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. VOUCHERS Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 90-5-267 - APPROVING THE VOUCHERS The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Blesener. Ayes (5) LaValle, Blesener, Collova, Scalze, Fahey. Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. WARMING Scalze reported that there is $20,000 budgeted for HOU5E construction of a new warming house. Jim Morelan will be approaching the North Suburban Youth Association as well as other donors requesting additional funds for this project. NEWSLETTER Scalze reminded the Council that the submission deadline for the City's newsletter is June 15th. BOND SALE The City Administrator recommended that the Council call for a bond sale for the Centre Place project as well as the Country Drive reconstruction project. Bonds amounts were estimated at $150,000 for Country Drive and $365,000 for Centre Place. The Administrator reported that the bonds would be general obligation bonds, tax-exempt, on a negotiated sale basis. The bonds would be awarded at the June 27th meeting. Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 90-5-268 - CALL FOR A BOND SALE FOR THE COUNTRY DRIVE RECONSTRUCTION PROJECT AND CENTRE PLACE PROJECT FOR JUNE 27, 1990 AT 7:30 P.M.
