MINUTES CITY COUNCIL JUNE 27, 1990 proposing to contract directly for the materials, however, it is proposed that the City administer the contract. The Park Commission has recommended approval of this proposal. Mrs. Scalze introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 90-6-312 - ACCEPTING THE PLANTING PROJECT TO BE CONSTRUCTED ON CITY PROPERTY AS PROPOSED BY SERVANTS OF MARY, WITH SERVANTS OF MARY TO CONTRACT WITH THE LOW BIDDER, GREYSTONE LANDSCAPING, INC.~ AND THE CITY TO ADMINISTER THE CONTRACT, AND INSTRUCTING THE PARK CONSULTANT TO WORK WITH SERVANTS OF MARY TO GET THE PROJECT ACCOMPLISHED The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Blesener. Ayes (5) Scalze, Blesener, Collova, LaValle, Fahey. Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. CELEBRATE MN Scalze reviewed the improvement projects proposed by PROJECTS by the Park Commission in conjunction with the Celebrate MN 1990 grant program. These include tree planting on Little Canada Road, flagpoles at the new Fire Station site, and light poles and fixtures/banner poles at the Fire Station site. Mrs. Scalze introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 90-6-313 - ACCEPTING THE LOW BID OF SOUTHVIEW DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION, INC. IN THE AMOUNT OF $11,275.00 FOR TREE PLANTING ON LITTLE CANADA ROAD AS PART OF THE CELEBRATE MN 1990 GRANT PROGRAM The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Blesener. Ayes (5) Scalze, Blesener, Fahey, LaValle, Collova. Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. Collova suggested that in addition to the bids already obtained for flagpoles, that American Flagpole also be contacted for a bid. The Administrator pointed out that the bids do not include installation. The Administrator also reported that he has discussed the coordination of the Celebrate MN improvements with the construction of the new Fire Page 28
