MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />JUNE 27, 1990 <br />proposing to contract directly for the materials, <br />however, it is proposed that the City administer the <br />contract. The Park Commission has recommended approval <br />of this proposal. <br />Mrs. Scalze introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 90-6-312 - ACCEPTING THE PLANTING <br />PROJECT TO BE CONSTRUCTED ON CITY PROPERTY AS PROPOSED <br />BY SERVANTS OF MARY, WITH SERVANTS OF MARY TO CONTRACT <br />WITH THE LOW BIDDER, GREYSTONE LANDSCAPING, INC.~ AND <br />THE CITY TO ADMINISTER THE CONTRACT, AND INSTRUCTING <br />THE PARK CONSULTANT TO WORK WITH SERVANTS OF MARY TO <br />GET THE PROJECT ACCOMPLISHED <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Blesener. <br />Ayes (5) Scalze, Blesener, Collova, LaValle, Fahey. <br />Nays (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />CELEBRATE MN Scalze reviewed the improvement projects proposed by <br />PROJECTS by the Park Commission in conjunction with the <br />Celebrate MN 1990 grant program. These include tree <br />planting on Little Canada Road, flagpoles at the new <br />Fire Station site, and light poles and fixtures/banner <br />poles at the Fire Station site. <br />Mrs. Scalze introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 90-6-313 - ACCEPTING THE LOW BID OF <br />SOUTHVIEW DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION, INC. IN THE AMOUNT <br />OF $11,275.00 FOR TREE PLANTING ON LITTLE CANADA ROAD <br />AS PART OF THE CELEBRATE MN 1990 GRANT PROGRAM <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Blesener. <br />Ayes (5) Scalze, Blesener, Fahey, LaValle, Collova. <br />Nays (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />Collova suggested that in addition to the bids already <br />obtained for flagpoles, that American Flagpole also be <br />contacted for a bid. <br />The Administrator pointed out that the bids do not <br />include installation. The Administrator also reported <br />that he has discussed the coordination of the Celebrate <br />MN improvements with the construction of the new Fire <br />Page 28 <br />
