MINUTES CITY COUNCIL JUNE 27, 1990 SEALCOATING Blesener reviewed the Public Works Superintendent's BIDS report dated June 27th which indicates that the City received two quotations for sealcoating. One from Allied Asphalt for $.539 per square yard and the other from Bituminous Roadways for $.55 per square yard. It was the recommendation of Public Works that the low bid be awarded. Mr. Blesener introduced the followinq resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION N0. 90-6-310 - ACCEPTING THE LOW BID OF ALLIED ASPHALT FOR $.539 PER SQUARE YARD FOR SEALCOATING AS RECOMMENDED BY THE PUBLIC WORKS SUPERINTENDENT The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Fahey. Ayes (5) Blesener, Fahey, Scalze, Collova, LaValle. Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. TREE Blesener reviewed the report of the Public Works INSPECTOR Superintendent dated June 27, 1990 recommending that Kunde Company be hired as the City's tree inspector. Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION N0. 90-6-311 - APPOINTING KUNDE COMPANY AS THE CITY'S TREE INSPECTOR FOR THE REMAINDER OF 1990 AT AN ESTIMATED C05T OF $3,510.00 BASED ON THE RECOMMENDATION OF THE PUBLIC WORKS SUPERINTENDENT The foregoinq resolution was duly seconded by Scalze. Ayes (5) Blesener, Scalze, Collova, Fahey, LaValle. Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. WEED Collova reported that he has received a couple of INSPECTOR complaints about noxious weeds. The City Administrator reported that the Public Works Superintendent is handling these complaints, and if the weeds prove to be noxious, appropriate action will be taken. PIONEER PARK Scalze reported that Servants of Mary is planning a PLANTING planting project in Pioneer Park. Bids have been PROJECT obtained for the materials. Servants of Mary is Page 27
