Fahey pointed out that when the assessment hearing was held for this property, the property owner had the legal right to object to the assessment. Mrs. Eagan replied that the assessment was not objected to because this was the only way to get a street to the property. Eagan stated that they were charged for street frontage, but did not get it. Fahey pointed out that in addition to the street assessment, there were also assessments for watermain and sanitary sewer. Fahey suggested that the City Administrator continue his research on this matter with the former City Engineer. It may be that at the time the assessment was levied it was thought that the property could be accessed via a road improvement from another direction or that the property could be combined with adjacent land to make it buildable. The City Administrator agreed to continue his research and bring the matter back to the Council in two weeks. SPECIAL A representative of the Special Olympics appeared OLYMPICS before the Council requesting Public Works assistance in closing off one lane of County Road B-2 from Rice Street to Canabury Drive on Saturday, July 28th, from 8 A.M, until 4:30 P.M. in conjunction with one of their events. There will be volunteers directing traffic. Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 90-7-320 - AUTHORIZING THE PUBLIC WORKS STAFF TO ASSIST THE SPECIAL OLYMPICS IN THE CLOSURE OF COUNTY ROAD B-2 AS REQUESTED ON SATURDAY, JULY 28TH The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by LaVa11F Ayes (5) Blesener, LaValle, Scalze, Collova, Fahey Nays (O).
