MINUTES
CITY COUNCIL
JULY 19, 1990
Council discussed the metal paneling, and it was their
consensus that wood would be more attractive.
Collova asked the architectural fees for the City
Center.
The City Administrator estimated those fees at $35,000.
The City Administrator and Beckwith again pointed out
the lack of contingency funds in the budget for the
City Center expansion. Beckwith reported that he would
like to see a contingency of 10% of project costs until
the project is 50% constructed.
Collova agreed that there was the need for a
contingency since there are always changes in
remodeling projects.
Fahey stated that the Council understands the need.
The City Administrator pointed out that with the
process the City is usinq, it is in a position to
control costs during the bidding process.
Beckwith stated that he would change the plans to show
the operable wall in the Council Chambers area for the
bid documents.
Final Fire Station and City Center expansion plans will
be presented to the Council at their July 25th meeting
for action.
There being no further business, the meeting was
adjourned at 6:28 P.M.
~
ic ael I.
