MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />JULY 25, 1990 <br />The foregoing Ordinance was duly seconded by Blesener. <br />Ayes (4) Fahey, Blesener, Collova, LaValle. <br />Nays (1) Scalze. <br />Ordinance declared adopted. <br />CONDITIONAL Fahey opened the public hearing to consider the <br />USE PERMIT application of Sherman-Boosalis Company for a <br />SECOND PYLON second pylon at the Rice At C Center. Fahey noted that <br />the Planning Commission recommended approval of this <br />permit based on a split vote. <br />The City Planner reported that the application is in <br />conformance with the Sign Ordinance amendment which was <br />just adopted. <br />There was no one present from the general public <br />wishing to comment on this matter. <br />Upon motion by Fahey, seconded by Scalze, the public <br />hearing was closed. <br />Mr. Fahey introduced the followinq resolution and moved <br />its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 90-7-345 - APPROVING THE APPLICATION FOR <br />CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT FOR SECOND PYLON SIGN FOR THE <br />RICE AT C CENTER BASED ON TAE RECOMMENDATIONS OF TxE <br />CITY PLANNER AS CONTAINED IN HIS REPORT DATED JULY 12, <br />1990 <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by LaValle. <br />Ayes (5) Fahey, LaValle, Scalze, Collova, LaValle. <br />Nays (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />CONDITIONAL Fahey opened the public hearing to consider the <br />USE PERMIT application for Conditional Use Permit to allow <br />POOLSIDE outdoor sales displays at 121 East County Road C <br />submitted by Poolside. Fahey pointed out that the <br />Planning Commission recommended approval of the permit <br />contingent upon compliance with the recommendations of <br />the City Planner as well as fencing of the west <br />property line. <br />Mr. Anderson, owner of Poolside, stated that he was <br />agreeable to the fencing condition. <br />Mr. David Dorn asked if the proposal was to fence the <br />entire western property line. <br />Page 13 <br />
