MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />AUGUST 22, 1990 <br />ANNOUNCEMENT Fahey reported that the Roseville League of Women <br />Voters, in their efforts to encourage citizen <br />participation in government, are requesting that <br />Saturday, 5eptember 22nd, be declared as National Voter <br />Registration Day. On September 22nd, the League will <br />be registering voters at the Roseville and Maplewood <br />libraries. <br />Mr. Fahey introduced the following resolution and moved <br />its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 90-8-384 - DECLARING SEPTEMBER 22, 1990 <br />AS NATIONAL VOTER REGISTRATION DAY IN THE CITY OF <br />LITTLE CANADA <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Blesener. <br />Ayes (5) Fahey, Blesener, Scalze, Collova, LaValle. <br />Nays (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />Mayor Fahey announced that the Third Annual City <br />Employees versus City Council Kittenball Tournament was <br />held on Tuesday, August 21st. City Employees <br />overwhelmed the City Council in a 9 to 8 victory. <br />Mayor Fahey announced that local artist and Council <br />Member Bev Scalze has won the Minnesota State Trout <br />Stamp. Prints will be available in the Spring. <br />STRECKER Fahey opened the Public Hearing to consider the <br />PROPERTY application for property division submitted by Mr. <br />DIVISION Edward Strecker. Mr. Strecker is requesting that his <br />property at 329 Savage Lane be divided into two lots. <br />Fahey pointed out that both the City Planner and <br />Planning Commission have recommended approval of the <br />division. <br />Blesener pointed out that this same property division <br />was approved about a year ago. However, approval <br />lapsed since the applicant did not file the <br />subdivision. <br />Page 2 <br />
