MINUTES
CITY COUNCIL
AUGUST 22, 1990
There was no one present from the general public
wishing to comment on this matter.
Upon motion by Blesener, seconded by Scalze, the public
hearing was closed.
Blesener introduced the following resolution and moved
its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 90-8-385 - APPROVING THE DIVISION OF THE
EDWARD STRECKER PROPERTY LOCATED AT 329 SAVAGE LANE
INTO TWO LOTS AS REQUESTED
The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by LaValle.
Ayes (5) Blesener, LaValle, Scalze, Collova, Fahey.
Nays (0).
Resolution declared adopted.
VACATION OF Fahey opened the Public Hearing to consider the
SNOWFENCE vacation of a snowfence easement on the property
EASEMENT located at 2923 LaBore Road. Fahey reported that since
2923 LABORE this was his property he would abstain from any
discussion and action.
The City Attorney reported that the matter was raised
as a blemish on the title by a title company that was
reviewing the property. The Attorney reported that it
appears that the easement has not been used and if
there is no reason to retain the easement for the
public health and safety, it can be vacated.
The City Administrator stated that he could see no
reason to retain the snowfence easement, pointing out
that it has not been used in the past.
Scalze pointed out that the easement appears to have
originated in the township days, and this is the first
instance in her 12 years on the Council that the issue
of a snowfence easement has even come up.
There was no one from the general public present
wishing to comment on this matter.
Upon motion by Scalze, seconded by Blesener, the public
hearing was closed.
Mrs. Scalze introduced the following resolution and
moved its adoption:
Page 3
