MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />SEPTEMBER 12, 1990 <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by LaValle. <br />Ayes (5) Blesener, LaValle, Saalze, Collova, Fahey. <br />Nays (O). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />It was pointed out that Section 16000-Electrical for <br />the Fire Station will be rebid. <br />Beckwith then reviewed the bid sections remaining to <br />finalize the City Center expansion projects. Beckwith <br />recommended that the low bid of Northern Woodworking in <br />the amount of $15,250.00 be awarded for Section <br />06200-Finish Carpentry/Materials. Beckwith recommended <br />that the award of Section 10652-Operable Wall be <br />withheld until the Council makes a final decision on <br />whether or not it wants an operable wall. Beckwith <br />recommended that the low bid of Roseville Mechanical in <br />the amount of $46,870.00 be awarded for Section <br />15000-Mechanical incorporating Section 15510-Fire <br />Protection into the Mechanical Section as was done for <br />the Fire Station project. <br />Mrs. Scalze introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 90-9-414 - ACCEPTING AND AWARDING THE <br />LOW BIDS FOR THE CITY CENTER EXPANSION PROJECT AS <br />FOLLOWS: SECTION 06200-FINISH CARPENTRY/MATERIALS, <br />NORTAERN WOODWORK~ INC. IN TAE AMOUNT OF $15,250.00~ <br />SECTION 15000-MECHANICAL (WHICH INCLUDES FIRE <br />PROTECTION), ROSEVILLE MECHANICAL IN THE AMOUNT OF <br />$46,870.00, AS RECOMMENDED BY KRAUS-ANDERSON, AND IN <br />TAE EVENT THAT AFTER FURTHER ANALYSIS THESE BIDS PROVE <br />NOT TO BE LOW~ THE MATTER COME BACK TO THE COUNCIL FOR <br />FURTHER RECOMMENDATION, AND SUBJECT TO REMOVAL OF THE <br />INDEMENIFICATION CLAUSE FOR HAZARDOUS MATERIALS FROM <br />THE CONTRACTS <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by LaValle. <br />Ayes (5) Scalze, LaValle, Blesener, Collova, Fahey. <br />Nays (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />Beckwith presented the Council with a cost analysis of <br />two options for partition walls between the two small <br />conference rooms as well as these conference rooms and <br />the Council Chambers. Options #1 was for stacking, <br />movable walls, while Option #2 involved sheetrock <br />walls. <br />Council discussed the movable walls versus sheetrock <br />Page 6 <br />
