MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />SEPTEMBER 26, 1990 <br />COST SAVING Council asked that the Recreation Director and Fire <br />WoRK5HOP Chief be invited to attend the Council's cost saving <br />workshop. <br />VOUCHERS Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 90-9-451 - APPROVING THE VOUCHERS <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Scalze. <br />Ayes (4) LaValle, Scalze, Collova, Blesener. <br />Nays (o). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />CELLULAR LaValle reported that St. Joseph's Society and Little <br />PHONES Canada Charity Plus, Inc. have purchased and donated a <br />Cellular phone for use by the Sheriff's car patrolling <br />Little Canada as well as two additional phones for use <br />of City staff. The City would be required to pay the <br />monthly charge for the phones. <br />LaValle reported that these phones will be useful in <br />emergency situations when radios are not feasible, as <br />well as at times when sensitive information needs to be <br />relayed. <br />It was the consensus of the Council that the phones <br />should only be used in these instances, and not for <br />day-to-day use. <br />Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 90-9-452 - ACCEPTING AND THANKING ST. <br />JOSEPH'S SOCIETY AND LITTLE CANADA CHARITY PLUS FOR <br />THEIR CONATION OF CELLULAR PHONES AS WELL AS LIMITING <br />THE USE OF THESE PHONES TO EMERGENCY SITUATIONS AND <br />APPROVING THE CITY'S PAYMENT OF MONTHLY AIR TIME <br />CHARGES <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Scalze. <br />Ayes (4) LaValle, Scalze, Collova, Blesener. <br />Nays (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />ADJOURN Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 90-9-453 - ADJOURNING <br />Paqe 35 <br />
