MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />SEPTEMBER 26, 1990 <br />along with it. Laumark stated that she knows people <br />own land and should be allowed to develop, however, <br />felt the growth of the City should be slowed and <br />wildlife areas preserved. <br />Scalze agreed that she would like to see green spaces <br />preserved, however, pointed out that these green spaces <br />are under private ownership. Scalze pointed out that <br />the City has purchased a lot of park land in the last <br />few years, and not every citizen in the City has <br />supported it. Scalze agreed that there was a lot of <br />traffic on Edgerton, but pointed out that a great deal <br />of this traffic comes from adjacent cities as people <br />are accessing the freeway system. <br />Blesener pointed out that he did not believe that the <br />wetland area that is under the control of the DNR and <br />Watershed would ever develop. Therefore, a large <br />wetland will be preserved. <br />5haron Timmons, Schletty Drive resident, stated that <br />she was concerned about development of Schletty Woods. <br />Timmons stated that she would like to see an overall <br />plan which would include the piece of undeveloped <br />property to the north. Timmons was concerned that <br />should that property develop some time in the future, <br />the developer will want to access it via an extension <br />of the Schletty Drive cul-de-sac. <br />Blesener pointed out that there are wetland areas <br />between the Fred Schletty, Jr. property and the <br />Schletty Drive area. <br />The City Planner reported that he has looked at this <br />issue briefly, and there is access to the Fred <br />Schletty, Jr. property via the cul-de-sac coming in <br />from Edgerton proposed by Gordie Howe. <br />Blesener agreed that the way to access the Fred <br />Schletty, Jr. property was via the Gordie Howe <br />cul-de-sac. <br />Scalze suggested that the plat designate the future <br />road access to the Fred Schletty, Jr. property. <br />Mark Becker, 2475 Edgerton, asked about requirements <br />for notification of adjacent property owners. Becker <br />stated that he would appreciate being notified of any <br />proposal for development of Outlot B. <br />Scalze pointed out that the proposal before the Council <br />this evening is only a concept plan, therefore, a <br />Page 4 <br />
